Description

This gored, male styracosaurus has become the latest casualty of this species’ seasonal rut and has been left to die by his opponent. However in an unexpected twist, the bull has received some unlikely company in the form of a small family of corythosaurus, who have gathered around the wounded warrior. In a rare case of compassion, the corythosaurus seem to have come forward to keep the styracosaurus company as he slowly succumbs to his fatal injury. The bull’s fate may be sealed, but at least he won’t die alone.
A pair of dromaeosaurus wait nearby for the corythosaurus to leave.

A wide range of animals today are able to show compassion to not just members of their own kind, but also towards other species, even if it’s at their expense.
